Job Description

Own the marketing engine of a company going from $45M to $100M

TerraFirma is a family-owned, values-driven company on a serious growth trajectory — roughly $45M in revenue today with a target of $100M by 2030 across Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. We've been rooted in the Pacific Northwest since 2005, and we're scaling deliberately, market by market, with a Boise expansion already underway.

This is the seat that owns how we grow. You'll lead marketing end to end — strategy, demand generation, brand, and budget — with a ~$3.5M budget and a direct report to lead today, plus the mandate to build the team out as we scale. This is a builder's seat, not a maintainer's. If you want real ownership, a company where the owner's name is on the decisions, and the runway to build a marketing function as it grows, this is it.

Compensation

Salary Range: $100,000 – $135,000 annually

Plus a full benefits package.

We publish our pay range up front, because we think you deserve to know the number before you invest your time. On top of base:

  • Comprehensive benefits — Freedom Leave PTO, 7 paid holidays, 401(k), Medical / Dental / Vision, Life Insurance, AD&D, and Short & Long Term Disability
  • Real ownership — a real budget and a real team, with the mandate to build — not just maintain — as the company scales to $100M
  • A family-owned culture — built on our F.I.R.M. values: Family, Integrity, Resilience, Mastery
  • Why this seat is different

Marketing and sales operate as one engine here. You report to the Director of Sales, and that's intentional: your leads feed the sales team, and you're accountable for the handoff and the return on every dollar. You'll have direct partnership with sales leadership and regular visibility to the Senior Leadership Team on pipeline, spend, and results.

You'll be measured on one thing above all — quality leads at a cost the business can grow on. The right person is equal parts creative and analytical, comfortable directing a campaign and defending a cost-per-lead number in the same afternoon.

    What you'll own

The full marketing portfolio across every TerraFirma market:

  • Demand generation & lead flow — paid search, paid social, Local Services Ads, SEO, and organic, owned against clear cost-per-lead and lead-quality targets
  • Field & local marketing — direct mail, home shows, and community events across Portland, Roseburg, Vancouver, Olympia, and Boise
  • Traditional media where it performs — radio, TV, and OTT/streaming, measured rather than assumed
  • Website & conversion — landing pages and CRO that turn traffic into booked appointments
  • Reputation & brand — review management and a consistent brand presence across every market and channel, protecting TerraFirma brand standards and F.I.R.M. values in all creative
  • Marketing-to-sales alignment — clean lead handoff into i360, shared definitions of a qualified lead, and closed-loop reporting
  • Agency & vendor management — selecting, directing, and holding partners accountable to results
  • Budget & team — real ownership on day one

  • ~$3.5M annual marketing budget — you set the allocation across channels and markets, track pace and ROI, and own the return
  • A direct report on day one — you set priorities, coach, and develop them, and build the team out as the function scales
  • A multi-market footprint (OR / WA / ID) — with a Boise expansion underway — marketing scales as we open and grow territories
  • What we're looking for

    Non-negotiables

  • 5+ years in marketing with real budget ownership, including managing paid media spend and reporting on ROI / cost-per-lead
  • Demonstrated demand-generation experience — you've run lead-gen programs and can speak to the numbers behind them
  • People-leadership experience, or clear readiness to lead a small team
  • Fluency with marketing analytics — you build and defend your own reporting
  • High-value differentiators

  • Home-services, contractor, or other high-volume local lead-gen background (foundation repair, roofing, HVAC, home improvement, etc.)
  • Experience marketing across multiple locations or expanding into new markets
  • Hands-on with the modern stack — Google Ads, Meta, LSAs, GA4, CRM/lead systems, and AI-assisted marketing tooling
  • Comfort partnering closely with a sales organization and being measured on downstream revenue, not just impressions
  • Character traits we screen for

  • Ownership — you treat the budget like it's your own money
  • Directness — you push back when the data says push back, and you do it well
  • Resilience — you test, learn from what fails, and keep moving
  • Team-first — you make the sales team and your own people more successful, not just your own dashboard
  • Ready to build something that lasts?

Apply today. Bring the strategy, the numbers, and the drive to build — we'll give you the budget, the team, and the runway.

TerraFirma is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
