Sleep Study Technologist
Boulder Community Health, Boulder, CO 80303
$35.38 - $49.73 an hour - Full-Time Nights, 36 hours per week
*Range includes night differential. +$2.50 for weekend shifts.
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Sleep Tech that is responsible for performing Sleep Studies and associated tests as ordered by a physician on both inpatients and outpatients.

Qualifications
•BLS certification within 90 days of the conditional period
•Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists required
•One year of experience in performing Sleep Studies preferred
•One year of monitoring experience in sleep disorder studies and nocturnal polysomnography preferred
Responsibilities
•Performs and ensures quality of routine and acute sleep studies.
•Performs all examinations with attention to obtaining high-quality results.
•Performs polysomnograms.
•Administers oxygen and nasal CPAP, BIPAP and ASV as prescribed by the patient’s physician.
•Optimizes patient CPAP levels and/or BIPAP levels; adds or subtracts oxygen in conjunction with optimization.
•Accurately recognizes sleep staging
•Recognizes and grades breath patterns such as obstructive apnea, central apnea, mixed apnea, obstructive hypopneas, central hypopneas, mixed hypopneas.
•Can identify Cheyne-Stokes respiration and accurately differentiate from apneas or hypopneas.
•Recognize repetitive limb movement (nocturnal myoclonus).
•Recognize repetitive nocturnal myoclonus.
•Identifies ECG abnormalities.
•Identifies paroxysm of sleep.
•Familiar with the proper use and care of the nasal CPAP and BIPAP equipment in the home.
•Explains testing procedures to patients and significant others, as appropriate
