The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey.

The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

In-person, On-site position, at Clara Maass Medical Center, Belleville, NJ

The Data Analyst has responsibility for the daily management of data systems and processes in the Perioperative Services in the fulfillment of its various functions.

In addition, the Data Analyst will support the AVP, Perioperative Services, in various tasks, including but not limited to the following: generate reports for the Department, hospital, and health system; compile, collect and manage data for analytical purposes - audits, trending reports, and assist and support system-wide projects.

Qualifications:
Required:

  • Bachelor s Degree
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
  • Minimum of five (5) years head health care delivery system; experience in a Perioperative Services preferred,
  • Detailed oriented individual with excellent computer skills (proficient knowledge of Excel and Access for data analytics, Adobe Acrobat, Power Point),
  • Knowledge and use of Epic,

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Status: Per diem (Based on department needs)
  • Shift: Weekdays
  • Hours: 9am-5pm

Essential Functions:

  • Specifically, the Data Analyst must organize electronic data for use by the Department
  • Update, maintain and manage the relevant database(s) that store the permanent record of certain processes and activities, including but not limited to payment process by coordinating with various departments - Accounts Payable, Vendor Maintenance, Purchasing, Finance.
  • Payment validation/assurance process in Epic, PeopleSoft, Strata (or applicable software application),
  • Requisition / Purchase Order (PO) creation and Item management (through PeopleSoft Purchasing),

Data Analytics/Analysis:

  • Collect, analyze, and report data to identify trends, issues, opportunities,
  • Run and prepare database reports and dashboards - Accounts Payable, Daily and Monthly Reports, PO reports for Perioperative Services,
  • Assist with system-wide requests for analytical data, both internal and external requests,

Documentation Management

  • Research and provide requested documentation as necessary, for compliance audits, Reports daily, weekly, monthly,
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and complex projects concurrently and effectively on risk priority basis,
  • This role requires a positive, solution-focused attitude, the ability to respond promptly to requests, and the capability to take on additional responsibilities as needed,
