Credit Analyst Manager or Director of Portfolio Management and Underwriting

Positions Available: 3

Objective:

Platinum Bank is looking to add three team members to our Credit team. These roles are intentionally flexible and can be filled at multiple levels depending on experience, judgment, and demonstrated capability. This is an opportunity to join a relationship-driven community bank where credit plays a partner role to lending, supporting strong analysis, thoughtful risk management, organized credit administration, and practical deal execution. Responsibilities will be scaled by role and experience, beginning with credit analysis and expanding into independent underwriting, portfolio oversight, credit approval authority, and leadership as capability increases.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Credit Administration & Portfolio Support

  • Coordinate and track receipt of underwriting documents from customers to support new and existing loan analysis.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual loan and credit reports for management and the Board.
  • Support covenant tracking, tickler systems, and annual review processes.
  • Maintain accurate and complete data in the loan management system (nCino).
  • Order, review, and track third-party reports such as appraisals, real estate evaluations, and collateral audits.
  • Manage borrowing base certificate tracking and review accounts receivable aging reports.
  • Monitor construction loan advances and supporting documentation.
  • Assist with managing loan maturity reports and proactively gather information for upcoming maturities.
  • Perform loan file reviews, post-close reviews, and assist with internal audits of credit processes.
  • Attend Credit Committee meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Support loan participation reporting and information sharing with partner institutions.
  • Complete ACH relationship annual reviews and other credit-related reporting as directed.

Credit Analysis & Underwriting

  • Assist with or independently analyze loan requests and annual reviews in accordance with Bank policy and regulatory standards.
  • Spread and interpret borrower financial statements with increasing independence.
  • Evaluate cash flow, collateral, guarantor strength, and industry trends.
  • Prepare written credit presentations clearly summarizing risk and key considerations.
  • Identify policy exceptions and recommend risk ratings.
  • Recommend loan structures, covenants, and risk-mitigation strategies.

Partnership & Development

  • Participate in client calls with Relationship Managers as appropriate.
  • Work collaboratively with lenders and Credit leadership.
  • Build comfort presenting analysis and responding to questions.
  • (Senior levels) Provide guidance or mentorship to junior credit or administration staff.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build knowledge of lending regulations, policies, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through process or technology.
  • Support system enhancements and workflow improvements.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

  • 4 year college degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • A minimum of three years commercial credit experience. We’re also seeking seasoned professionals with 10+ years of experience.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Experience with nCino a plus
  • Experience with Jack Henry, LaserPro, or financial spreading software a plus

The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
