Position Description:

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and improving building systems, equipment, and facilities to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment for guests, residents, customers, and employees. This position performs preventative maintenance and responds to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and facilities.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and general maintenance issues.
  • Complete preventative maintenance programs according to established schedules.
  • Respond promptly to work orders, service requests, and emergency maintenance situations.
  • Inspect facilities for safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, and maintenance needs.
  • Repair and maintain doors, locks, fixtures, furniture, appliances, walls, flooring, and other property assets.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Assist with property renovations, special projects, and event support as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workshop and storage areas.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical certification, trade school training, or related experience preferred.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of maintenance, facilities, engineering, or related experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency call-outs if required.

Schedule

Flexible schedule required. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, mornings, evenings, and overtime as needed based on hotel occupancy, staffing needs, and business levels.
