Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Location: In-Person (Goodyear, AZ)
Reports to: Chris Gooden
Employment Type: Exempt / Full-Time

Our Special Education Teachers play an essential role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where students with diverse learning needs can thrive.
The Special Education Teacher provides specialized instruction and support to students while developing and implementing individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals. This role monitors student progress, collaborates with General Education Teachers and the Exceptional Student Services team, maintains accurate documentation, and ensures students receive the accommodations, modifications, and services outlined in their educational plans.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative, organized, and student-centered educator who is passionate about supporting students and working closely with families and school teams.
Here’s what to expect:
- Communicating with students and parents on a weekly basis via phone, email, live video sessions, and other means
- Write and enforce IEPs and 504s
- Collaborate with other members of the Exceptional Student Services team and General Education Instructors to ensure students are receiving the appropriate support and accommodations
- Participate in professional development and departmental meetings as needed
- Assist the Student Study Team in evaluating and monitoring students
- Perform 45-day screenings and other duties as necessary to comply with all applicable state and federal regulations
The Successful Candidate possesses:
- Highly qualified in Special Education
- Current valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (must provide photocopy of both the front & backside of physical card)
- Arizona Teacher Certification
- Special Education teaching experience at the secondary level
- Minimum of at least 2 years of verified full time teaching experience in Special Education
- In-person in AZ
