Job Description

ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE

At RPI Print, we are transforming how products are created, produced, and delivered worldwide. Every day, our cloud-based platform powers millions of personalized, on-demand products that reach customers with speed, quality, and sustainability. We partner with leading brands, publishers, and creative platforms, including Blurb.com, our consumer-facing self-publishing brand, to bring ideas to life at global scale.

As we continue to grow our sales organization, we’re looking for an Account Executive – Growth Accounts to develop new business and help build out our middle-market sales motion. Initially, you’ll have a strong focus on the publishing market, with the opportunity to expand into other middle-market segments as our coverage model evolves.

This is a highly outbound, full-cycle sales role for someone who loves the hunt. You’ll research and prospect into a large universe of identified potential accounts, uncover opportunities, and own the full sales cycle for middle-market opportunities from first conversation through close.

You'll also help us better understand and segment the market - recognizing which opportunities belong in your portfolio versus which should be routed to another team, whether that's SMB, growth, or enterprise.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Build Your Market & Pipeline

  • Research, prioritize and prospect into a large target account list, initially focused on middle-market publishers.
  • Identify the right contacts and decision-makers and develop thoughtful outbound outreach through LinkedIn, email and phone.
  • Turn cold and previously identified accounts into active conversations and qualified sales opportunities.
  • Conduct discovery to understand each prospect’s business, current fulfillment model, needs, timing and potential fit with RPI.
  • Assess and segment opportunities based on size, complexity and strategic potential, routing SMB and enterprise opportunities to the appropriate sales teams.

Own the Full Sales Cycle

  • Build and manage your own portfolio of opportunities from prospecting through close.
  • Lead discovery, solution development, pricing, objection handling, negotiation and closing.
  • Sell RPI’s technology-enabled print and fulfillment capabilities, including API-driven solutions that connect customers directly to our production and fulfillment network.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and clearly communicate RPI’s value in solving complex production and fulfillment needs.
  • Partner with internal teams as needed to develop solutions and successfully bring new customers onboard.

Manage Your Business

  • Build and maintain a disciplined pipeline across your target market.
  • Keep Salesforce current with accurate stages, contacts, activity, notes and next steps.
  • Track account coverage, pipeline progression, conversion and closed revenue against defined goals.
  • Share market intelligence and customer feedback with Sales, Marketing and Product to help refine our targeting, positioning and overall go-to-market strategy.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Approximately 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience, with demonstrated success prospecting, developing and closing new business.
  • Full-cycle closing experience and a track record of owning opportunities from initial outreach through signed business.
  • A true hunter mentality—you’re comfortable starting with a company name, researching the organization, finding the right people and creating an opportunity where one didn’t previously exist.
  • Strong outbound prospecting skills across LinkedIn, email and phone.
  • Strong discovery and qualification skills, including the judgment to assess account potential and identify the appropriate sales path.
  • Experience selling technology-enabled solutions and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to business stakeholders.
  • Experience using Salesforce or another CRM to actively manage pipeline, activity and follow-up.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, organization, curiosity and resourcefulness.
  • Ability to operate successfully in an evolving sales environment where you’ll help shape the motion as well as execute it.

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in publishing, publishing technology, e-commerce, creator platforms, print-on-demand, fulfillment or adjacent industries.
  • Experience selling API-enabled, platform, SaaS or other technology-driven solutions.
  • Experience selling into middle-market organizations.
  • Familiarity with the publishing ecosystem and/or how e-commerce businesses manage production, fulfillment and distribution.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Sales Navigator or similar prospecting tools.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Success in this role will be measured by your ability to turn an underdeveloped market into meaningful pipeline and new revenue. Key measures may include:

  • New pipeline generated through outbound prospecting
  • New revenue closed
  • Conversion rates throughout the sales cycle
  • Coverage and progression of assigned target accounts
  • Quality and accuracy of account segmentation and routing
  • Accuracy and quality of Salesforce pipeline management

GROWTH OPPORTUNITY

As RPI’s sales organization and coverage model continue to evolve, successful performance in this role can provide a path toward larger, more complex accounts and an Enterprise Account Executive opportunity.

WHY RPI?

You’ll be joining RPI at an exciting point in the evolution of our commercial organization. We’re combining decades of manufacturing and fulfillment expertise with technology that allows publishers, merchants and platforms to connect directly to our print and fulfillment network.

For the right salesperson, that means something much more interesting than simply selling print: you’ll help companies rethink how products move from an online purchase through production and into the hands of their customers.

Base: $95,000 – $105,000 plus performance-based commission tied to closed revenue, with uncapped earning potential and meaningful upside for strong performance.
