Our Dealer Training Program is a structured, hands‑on learning experience designed to prepare you for success as a certified Card Dealer. You’ll learn the fundamentals of Blackjack, game procedures, guest engagement, and table management in a supportive, fast‑paced environment. No prior dealing experience is required — just strong attention to detail, great energy, and a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.
This is a mandatory 10‑Day Training Course. Candidates must attend all scheduled dates and times to successfully complete the program and be eligible for hire as a Card Dealer. The training will take place at our sister property River Rock Casino Resort in Richmond.
Training Hours: 10:30am to 6:30pm
- Week 1: September 23 to September 25 (3 days)
- Week 2: September 28 to October 1 (4 days)
- Week 3: October 5 to October 7 (3 days)
Key Accountabilities
- Deals card games — learns and applies correct dealing procedures as taught in the training program
- Maintains table security — protects the integrity of the game, chips, and float
- Controls order of play — manages betting, closes wagers at the appropriate time, and follows all game rules
- Escalates disputes — refers irregularities, guest concerns, or suspicious activity to the Manager
- Verifies chip transactions — confirms refills, credits, and table chip movements
- Maintains workstation cleanliness — keeps the table and pit area tidy and organized
- Communicates effectively — collaborates with operational departments to support smooth table operations
- Builds guest relationships — engages guests professionally to enhance their gaming experience
- Ensures regulatory compliance — follows licensing laws, health and safety standards, and all statutory regulations
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed
Education and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year customer service experience
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills
- Flexible availability — will require evenings, weekends, and overnights
- Serving It Right certification
- Ability to obtain a Gaming License
- Second language an asset
