LMD is seeking a Strategic Communications Specialist to support communications initiatives for a federal client. This position will work as part of an integrated communications team to develop and execute strategic communications that engage diverse stakeholder audiences and support high-visibility programs and initiatives.

The ideal candidate is a strong writer and communicator who can translate complex information into clear, audience-focused content, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with clients and project teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the development and execution of strategic communications plans, campaigns, and initiatives.
  • Draft and edit communications materials for a variety of audiences and channels, including web, social media, presentations, talking points, fact sheets, and other public-facing content.
  • Support communications associated with program and product launches, stakeholder engagement activities, campaigns, and events.
  • Coordinate with client stakeholders and project team members to ensure communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with strategic objectives.
  • Support the management and updating of digital and web content.
  • Track communications activities, milestones, and deliverables and contribute to regular client reporting.
  • Assist with stakeholder outreach and engagement activities.
  • Manage multiple communications assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced federal environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of relevant professional experience, including experience:
  • Supporting the planning and development of strategic communications or public relations campaigns.
  • Developing communications materials for multiple audiences and channels.
  • Working collaboratively with clients and project teams.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear, accessible communications.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting federal government communications is preferred.
  • Experience with web content management systems is preferred.
  • Must currently hold, or be able to obtain, the required federal suitability/fitness determination.

JOB LOCATION

  • This position is hybrid and may require on-site work in the Arlington, VA Area.

60,000 - 80,000 USD per year(Arlington)
