This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Instructor, AI/Machine Learning - NLP & Audio Analytics, Simplilearn based in United States.

This part-time instructor role is designed for an experienced AI and machine learning professional with deep expertise in NLP and audio analytics. You will deliver live, instructor-led online sessions that combine technical concepts with coding demonstrations, hands-on practice, and real-world projects. The role focuses on helping working professionals build practical skills across natural language processing, speech technologies, and audio analysis. You will create an engaging learning environment, respond to learner questions, and support participants throughout their training journey. The position offers the opportunity to share industry experience while working with advanced AI/ML technologies and applied learning methodologies. Weekly teaching commitments are flexible within defined weekday and weekend schedules, making the role well suited to experienced professionals seeking a meaningful part-time opportunity.

Accountabilities:
  • Conduct live, instructor-led online training sessions focused on NLP, audio analytics, machine learning, and related AI technologies.
  • Deliver coding demonstrations, guided hands-on practices, and real-world projects that help learners translate theoretical concepts into practical applications.
  • Explain complex technical topics clearly and effectively to working professionals with varying levels of experience.
  • Address learner questions during sessions and provide guidance that supports understanding, participation, and successful project completion.
  • Cover NLP topics including preprocessing, feature engineering, text visualization, vectorization, sentiment analysis, embeddings, machine translation, document search, sequence models, attention mechanisms, Transformers, BERT, and GPT.
  • Deliver training on audio analytics and speech technologies, including Python-based audio processing, visualization, feature extraction, digital signal processing, MFCCs, speech recognition, transfer learning, and audio synthesis.
  • Prepare for initial and future cohorts according to the defined preparation schedule, including additional preparation when course content is significantly revamped.
  • Maintain learner engagement and contribute to a collaborative, hands-on online learning experience.
  • Participate in required instructional activities and communicate learner feedback or general updates as needed, recognizing that feedback and general connection time is not considered billable.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of hands-on professional experience in Natural Language Processing, Audio Analytics, or a closely related AI/ML field.
  • Strong proficiency in Python along with machine learning and deep learning concepts and practical implementation.
  • Extensive knowledge of NLP fundamentals, tools, and libraries such as NLTK, including preprocessing, feature engineering, visualization, vectorization, sentiment analysis, embeddings, machine translation, and search techniques.
  • Strong understanding of modern NLP architectures, including RNNs, attention mechanisms, Transformers, BERT, and GPT.
  • Practical expertise in audio processing with Python and tools such as Librosa and PyDub, including visualization, feature extraction, digital signal processing, and MFCCs.
  • Knowledge of deep learning approaches for speech recognition, transfer learning for speech models, and GAN-based audio synthesis or music generation.
  • Prior experience delivering online or classroom-based technical training, ideally to working professionals.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to make advanced AI/ML concepts accessible and engaging.
  • Ability to combine technical depth with practical demonstrations, coding exercises, and project-based learning.
  • Availability for a part-time commitment of approximately 8–12 hours per week, including scheduled weekday and/or weekend teaching sessions.
Benefits:
  • $50–$55 per hour expected compensation for qualified candidates in the United States.
  • Final compensation is based on individual experience and skillset, with candidates exceeding the listed qualifications encouraged to apply.

  • Part-time schedule of approximately 8–12 hours per week.
  • Weekday teaching schedule of approximately 6:30 PM–9:30 PM CST.
  • Weekend teaching schedule of approximately 9:00 AM–12:00 PM CST.
  • Weekend cohorts typically include 6–8 hours of delivery, while weekday cohorts typically include 9–12 hours of delivery.
  • Paid preparation time of 1 hour per session for the first cohort and 0.5 hour per session for future cohorts, with adjusted preparation allowances when content is substantially revamped.
