Job Description
Title: Tenant Support Manager
Job Summary: The Tenant Support Manager plays a critical role in the implementation of our Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) projects with emphasis on the project’s financial security, physical security, social connections, and delivery of long-term community based supportive services. This position is responsible for the daily tenant engagement efforts and service delivery activities, helping tenants to make integrated connections in their communities. The Tenant Support Manager is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with tenants and being a familiar member of the community while also working closely with property managers, service providers, and other community members to implement tenant supports that meet the needs of the community.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Tenant Support & Service Engagement
- Support outreach and marketing activities to help ensure leasing needs are met
- Advocate for tenants to connect with andmaintainengagement with the lead service provider and other approved supportive service partners.
- Encourage tenants toparticipatein supportive services, meetings, and interventions that promote housing stability and service plan progress.
- Facilitate provider engagement and tenant enrollment in available services, programs, and community-based resources.
- Help reinforce communication between tenants, property management, and service partners to supportappropriate follow-throughand coordination.
- Resident Programming & Community Building
- Support resident programming, onsite activities, and community-building efforts under the guidance of the Community Partnership Manager or designated leadership.
- Assist with outreach and participation efforts that increase tenant awareness of onsite and partner-led programming opportunities.
- Assist with outreach and participation efforts that increase tenant awareness of lease compliance and good neighbor modeling.
- Support tenant and community meetings intended to strengthen engagement and connection to services.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of Permanent Supportive Housing models, Housing First principles, and trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with harm reduction, motivational interviewing, and critical time intervention
- Ability to build trusting relationships with tenants, property management, and service partners
- Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-directed with ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to facilitate meetings, community activities, and resident programming
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years in direct service, community outreach, or supportive service delivery
- Background in supportive housing, social services, or community-based programming a plus
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to travel between work locations
Physical Demands:
- Mobility within the buildings and about the property which includes climbing stairs, navigating uneven terrain, and inspecting various areas.
- Sit for extended periods while using a computer, phone, or other office equipment.
- Occasionally lifting and carrying objects up to 20 pounds.
- Ability to travel between work locations as needed.
