Position Summary
Seeking a skilled Fluid Power Technician with a strong background in pneumatic system integration and machine assembly. The ideal candidate will be able to read and interpret pneumatic schematics, mechanical prints, and assembly drawings, then independently execute installation and integration work with minimal supervision. This role requires a hands-on individual who can efficiently build, plumb, and troubleshoot pneumatic systems while maintaining high-quality workmanship and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical assembly drawings and schematics.
- Plumb and assemble machines according to engineering prints and pneumatic circuit diagrams.
- Install, route, and connect pneumatic components including valves, regulators, manifolds, cylinders, tubing, and fittings.
- Perform machine assembly and integration activities with minimal supervision.
- Utilize basic shop tools including drills, taps, hand tools, measuring devices, and fabrication equipment.
- Verify assemblies meet design specifications and quality standards.
- Troubleshoot pneumatic systems and identify root causes of performance issues.
- Work from verbal instructions, engineering drawings, and written work orders to complete assigned projects.
- Ensure equipment is assembled safely, accurately, and within project timelines.
- Support machine startup, testing, and debugging activities when required.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fluid power, pneumatic system integration, machine building, automation, or industrial assembly.
- Strong understanding of pneumatic circuits and control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, pneumatic schematics, and assembly prints.
- Experience plumbing machines directly from prints with little to no supervision.
- Proficiency using hand tools, drills, taps, and common shop equipment.
- Ability to follow direction and independently execute tasks without constant oversight.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Experience in automation, custom machinery, or industrial equipment manufacturing.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems and electrical controls.
- Experience supporting machine testing, commissioning, and startup activities.
