Job Description
The Campus Director/Instructional Coach fulfills the mission of the Catholic school by working with the Principal in the management of the school, faculty, and students with major emphasis on curriculum and instruction, as well as student discipline. Directs campus campus activity for grades 3-8.
Position Responsibilities:
- Acts as a witness to Gospel values by modeling the teachings of the Catholic Church
- Supports and adheres to the Religious Standards for Catholic School Employees and policies and procedures of the school and Archdiocese
- Maintains confidentiality regarding school matters
- Supports and assists with the responsibilities of the principal
- Serves as the director in the principal’s absence
- Assists in the general administration of the school
- Supports the communication, training, and supervision of the faculty
- Assists in planning for staff development, curriculum, educational textbooks and materials, and student testing
- Maintains documentation of instructional planning
- Carries out the disciplinary policies of the school
- Interprets and enforces school policies
- Assists with designing the master schedule
- Assists with faculty and other meetings
- Provides direct supervision of school sponsored activities
- Communicates effectively with students, parents, and other professionals
- Demonstrates professionalism in conduct, demeanor, and work habits
- Maintains a work schedule that maximizes availability to the school, students and faculty
- Adheres to safety training and protocols on a daily basis, and takes precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, others.
- Responsible for protecting the confidentiality of any information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial information.
- Adherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral Policy is mandatory.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Collaborates with peers to enhance the work environment and support instructional planning
- Monitors students regarding tardiness, absences, and those on academic probation
- Oversees faculty committees, as assigned
- Observes and evaluates instruction and provides constructive feedback on performance
- Supports the preparation of handbooks
- Supports the referral process for student evaluation within the public school system
- Supervises teachers and other staff or volunteers assigned by the Principal
- Ability to coach, set expectations, provide feedback, track progress, address performance concerns, and provide recognition for set objectives.
- Ability to exhibit behavior and skills that contribute to superior performance by motivating others to become engaged and take action.
- Ability to remain focused and use emotional intelligence despite stressful situations and competing priorities.
- Ability to identify various challenges, think outside the box, be innovative, and formulate possible solutions.
- Education
- A Master’s degree, or participating in a Master’s degree program, and 9 credit hours in educational administration and supervision courses or a valid, appropriate state certificate in education, as outlined in the Texas Catholic Conference Education Department standards.
- Experience
- Three years of experience as a classroom teacher
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Must pass archdiocesan Safe Environment Requirements and background screening
- Must pass Texas DPS Fingerprint-based Applicant Clearinghouse screening
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Thorough understanding of school operations
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to coordinate campus support operations Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
- Ability to manage budget and personnel
- Ability to coordinate campus functions
- Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the basic teachings of the Catholic Church
- Knowledge of curriculum, instructional methods/strategies, and curriculum differentiation
- Knowledge of child development, learning and behavior
- Able to manage student behavior
- Able to communicate effectively in both written and verbal form
- Able to work well with others in a school community
- Skill in handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Skill in job appropriate technology
- Skill in critical thinking and planning
