Key Responsibilities
Sales Operations
Own the full sales incentive cycle: calculation, reconciliation, and payout, delivered accurately and on time.
Run month-end closing for the sales team, including data validation and performance reporting.
Execute sales programs and campaigns, and track their progress against targets.
Act as the first point of contact for operational issues raised by the sales team, coordinating with the right teams until they’re resolved.
Process Improvement
Review existing workflows to identify bottlenecks, manual steps, and recurring errors.
Redesign and standardize processes, and document them as clear SOPs.
Automate recurring reports, trackers, and reconciliations to reduce manual work.
Track efficiency metrics such as turnaround time, error rate, and manual effort, and use them to drive further improvement.
Sales Strategy Support
Support target setting and break targets down across regions and teams.
Analyze incentive schemes and sales programs, and recommend changes that improve results.
Support manpower and territory planning using performance and coverage data.
Evaluate the results of programs and initiatives, and recommend whether to scale, adjust, or stop them.
Data and Controls
Maintain accurate, reliable sales data, trackers, and dashboards.
Build checks to detect errors and irregularities in sales and incentive data.
Monitor operational KPIs and escalate issues to leadership early.
Cross-functional Coordination
Work with Sales leadership, Finance, People, and Product on operational matters.
Train sales leaders on processes, tools, and reporting so they can work independently.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, management, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in sales operations, business operations, strategy, or a related field.
Experience improving processes with measurable results.
Ability to structure business problems and turn analysis into clear recommendations.
Proficiency in SQL and spreadsheets; experience with automation is a plus.
Experience in incentive or commission management is a plus.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Good communication skills with both field teams and stakeholders.
Able to work independently and take ownership of outcomes.
