As a Nursing Supervisor, you will be the first line of response to daily operational issues, monitor work processes, and support the implementation of division initiatives. In partnership with the Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON), you will manage and develop staff nurses through real-time feedback and coordinated training, and collaborate with the DON, ADON, and Vice President of Clinical Services to provide exceptional clinical, physical, and emotional health services for our residents.

Supervisory and leadership experience is preferred.

As a Nursing Supervisor, You Will:

    Maintain knowledge of Misericordia's philosophy, purpose, services, and policies and procedures, and take part in their development and implementationIn alignment with the ADON, DON, and VP, evaluate and develop strategies and plans for ongoing departmental successBe accountable for the delivery of high-quality nursing care within residences/facilitySupport the clinical team (RNs and CNAs) and ensure standards of practice and clinical policies are consistent with the profession and the communityAct as first line of response to daily operational issues, monitor work processes, and assume resident assignment when neededMake recommendations to improve workflow and act as a catalyst for policy, procedural, and resident care changes that safeguard safety, security, and confidentialityDevelop staff for clinical competence and serve as a resource for clinical issues and problem resolutionImplement changes impacting personnel, processes, and procedures to meet organizational goalsAssist the ADON/DON with quarterly IDPs and performance managementSupport staff completing orientation in collaboration with consistent preceptor assignmentsSupport facilitation, translation, and education of EMR and technological tools in resident care workflowsPromote and monitor compliance with HIPAA regulationsAssist nursing leadership in maintaining continuous readiness for surveysFacilitate chart audits focused on problematic and regulatory required areas of documentationParticipate in admissions and annual resident multidisciplinary meetings as applicablePromote collaboration, teamwork, and morale among the clinical teamMaintain a clean, clutter-free, and safe environmentMaintain open communication and effective partnerships with other departments, including residential, vocational, social service, business office, maintenance, housekeeping, personnel, and consultantsServe as a role model, connecting employees to the values, culture, and mission of MisericordiaStrategically involve others in goal setting and planning to promote alignment across the organizationBuild strong relationships grounded in warmth, compassion, and trust, and encourage curiosity among employeesSupport and role-model the development of talent and an engaging work environmentDrive for critical results and prioritize activities that move the organization forwardUse data to understand opportunities and challenges, and create feedback loops with the teamIdentify how work and team needs should evolve, and build on team capabilities to meet those needsSeek out opportunities to innovate and support others in adapting to ongoing change

What We're Looking For

    Bachelor's degree in Nursing with official transcripts, or Associate's degree in Nursing with official transcripts, or completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program with official transcriptsCurrent Illinois Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing, or current Illinois Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in good standing3-5 years RN experience or 2-3 years LPN experienceExperience in IDD, developmental disabilities, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferredSupervisory experience preferredLeadership skills and/or management experience, including project management, training, or mentoring staffExperience taking initiative and responsibility, with a high degree of professionalism and ownershipProven ability to work as a team memberExcellent written and verbal communication skillsUnderstanding of EHRBasic computer skills
Pay

    Nursing Supervisor: $39.00-$47.50 per hour
