Job Description

Senior Technical Implementation Specialist

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Technical Implementation Specialist in Canada.

Join a mission-driven healthcare technology environment where your expertise will directly improve how patients and providers access and manage medical imaging records. In this senior-level role, you will lead complex technical implementations and integrations across hospitals, imaging centers, and healthcare networks throughout North America. Working at the intersection of healthcare IT, medical imaging, and customer success, you’ll help deliver secure, scalable, and reliable solutions that streamline clinical workflows and enhance patient experiences. You’ll collaborate closely with engineering, product, and customer-facing teams while mentoring junior specialists and contributing to operational excellence. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in highly technical environments, enjoys solving complex interoperability challenges, and wants to make a meaningful impact in healthcare innovation. With a remote-first culture and strong focus on collaboration and growth, you’ll have the opportunity to shape both systems and processes at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead end-to-end technical implementations of imaging and healthcare interoperability solutions across hospitals, clinics, and radiology environments.
  • Design, configure, and support secure integrations involving PACS, RIS, EHR systems, DICOM workflows, HL7 interfaces, VPNs, and secure image routing.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues while serving as an escalation point for advanced implementation and support challenges.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to improve platform functionality and optimize customer outcomes.
  • Mentor and support junior technical services engineers through onboarding, coaching, and technical guidance.
  • Develop and enhance internal tools, automation scripts, monitoring systems, and operational workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Create and maintain high-quality technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base resources.
  • Participate in customer meetings and strategic projects as a technical subject matter expert representing the technical services function.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in technical implementation, healthcare IT support, or technical services roles, ideally within the medical imaging or healthcare technology industry.
  • Advanced expertise in DICOM, HL7, radiology workflows, clinical systems integration, and healthcare interoperability standards.
  • Hands-on experience with PACS/RIS systems, modality configuration, and integration tools such as Mirth Connect (NextGen® Connect).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to independently manage high-priority technical issues in complex environments.
  • Proficiency with Linux systems, scripting languages such as Bash or Python, APIs, and infrastructure troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare data privacy, security, and compliance standards such as HIPAA, PHIPA, and SOC2.
  • Experience with cloud-based imaging platforms, teleradiology solutions, FHIR, IHE frameworks, or major PACS/RIS vendors is considered a strong asset.
  • Relevant healthcare IT certifications such as DICOM, HL7, CIIP, or related credentials are advantageous.
Benefits:
  • Competitive salary ranging from $95,000 to $110,000 annually based on experience and expertise.
  • Equity participation through employee stock options.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, vision, and extended mental health coverage.
  • Fully remote work environment with flexibility and work-life balance support.
  • Four weeks of paid time off plus unlimited paid wellness days.
  • Generous parental leave top-up program.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful healthcare technology solutions serving millions of patients.
  • Collaborative and inclusive culture focused on diversity, equity, and professional development.
  • Career growth opportunities within a fast-growing healthcare technology organization.
