In this role, you will design, optimize, and secure modern network architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid ecosystems while ensuring high availability and operational resilience. The position combines hands-on technical leadership with strategic planning, compliance management, and cross-functional collaboration. - Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of enterprise network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, wireless, and cloud networking environments.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain networking solutions using technologies such as Cisco, Meraki, and cloud-based networking platforms.
- Manage and secure firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, and access control policies to protect enterprise systems and sensitive data.
- Implement network segmentation strategies, Zero Trust principles, and compliance frameworks including SOC, HITRUST, HIPAA, and NIST standards.
- Monitor network performance, optimize reliability, and strengthen redundancy and disaster recovery capabilities to ensure business continuity.
- Serve as the highest escalation point for troubleshooting and resolving complex network incidents, outages, and performance issues.
- Architect and manage cloud networking integrations within Azure and AWS environments, including hybrid connectivity solutions.
- Automate network operations and improve operational efficiency through scripting, monitoring tools, and infrastructure-as-code practices.
- Develop and maintain network policies, standards, and best practices to support secure and scalable operations.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to align networking strategies with business and technical objectives.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical growth.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, manage vendor relationships, and recommend solutions that improve efficiency, security, and cost-effectiveness.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise network infrastructure in large-scale environments.
- Strong expertise in LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, VPN, cloud networking, network security, and high-availability architectures.
- Advanced experience with firewalls, IPS/IDS technologies, access control policies, and enterprise network security best practices.
- Proven knowledge of cloud networking solutions within Azure and AWS, including VPCs, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, and hybrid connectivity.
- Experience implementing network segmentation, Zero Trust architectures, and compliance standards such as SOC, HITRUST, HIPAA, and NIST.
- Hands-on experience with network automation, configuration management, and scripting tools such as Ansible, Python, and Terraform.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex network and infrastructure issues.
- Experience with network monitoring, redundancy planning, disaster recovery, and performance optimization initiatives.
- Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to guide and support junior engineers.
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, AWS Advanced Networking, Azure Network Engineer Associate, CISSP, CISM, or similar certifications are highly valued.
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN), infrastructure-as-code frameworks, ITIL practices, and load balancing technologies is considered a plus.
