Quail Park Communities is seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic Caregivers/Resident Care Assistants to join our growing team in Visalia, California. Our three beautiful communities which provide Independent Living, Assisted Living, Enhanced Assisted Living, and/or Memory Care, giving you the opportunity to build meaningful relationships while making a lasting impact in the lives of our residents.

What You'll Do

As a Resident Care Assistant, you'll provide compassionate, respectful care while helping residents maintain their dignity, independence, and quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, dining, mobility, and transfers
  • Building meaningful relationships through conversation, companionship, and engagement
  • Monitoring residents for changes in condition and promptly communicating concerns to nursing and leadership
  • Accurately documenting care and observations
  • Assisting during meals and encouraging proper nutrition and hydration
  • Supporting residents with activities, outings, and social engagement
  • Maintaining clean, comfortable resident apartments including light housekeeping and laundry assistance
  • Promoting a safe, welcoming environment for residents, families, and fellow team members
  • Upholding resident rights and providing person-centered care every day

Qualifications

Preferred:

  • CNA certification or previous experience working with older adults in assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or another long-term care setting

Required:

  • Current CPR & First Aid Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain any required state certifications
  • Ability to learn vital signs (blood pressure, pulse, respirations, temperature, oxygen saturation)
  • Annual continuing education as required
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Employment is contingent upon successfully completing:

  • Pre-employment physical
  • Drug screening
  • TB testing
  • Criminal background clearance
Schedule

Flexible Full-Time and Part-Time positions available.

Must be available to work assigned shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays.
