The Iowa State University Foundation is seeking an outgoing, enthusiastic, hard-working, goal-oriented individual to join our corporate engagement team.
Requirements:As a member of the corporate engagement team, the operations coordinator provides administrative and operational support to a team whose primary focus is securing fundraising production and non-philanthropic investment in support of university priorities.
Based on qualifications and experience, a selected candidate may hold one of these job titles: Corporate Engagement Operations Coordinator or Senior Corporate Engagement Operations Coordinator.
Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Utilize the constituent relationship management system (Salesforce) to create and run monthly reports, request data queries as needed, enter and update fundraising opportunities, assist in maintaining engagement summaries, enter contacts, and update information.- Serve as the team’s liaison to the university’s grant administration platform by assisting in managing workflows, providing information and documentation, and coordinating required signatures and approvals.
- Respond to inquiries from campus and external partners related to engagement with corporate entities.
- Assist with online application processes and ensure proper reporting. Assist with identification of companies and corporate foundations whose funding models align with Iowa State University priorities.
- Facilitate effective communication about corporate engagement activities with the highest levels of professionalism, accuracy, and confidentiality. Draft emails and ensure timely follow-up after meetings and other interactions.
- Assist in editing proposals, presentation slides, and other documents as necessary.
- Provide administrative support to annual department and program campaigns as well as other special projects as needed. Provide administrative backup and additional coverage for the team as needed.
- Assist in the upkeep and documentation of processes and procedures used within the unit.
Qualifications
Education & Work Experience
- 5+ years of work experience related to employment area. Education may be substituted for years of work experience.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Previous experience using constituent relationship databases, such as Salesforce, is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks and problem-solve, and pivot quickly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must be adaptable, flexible, and self-directed.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn new software.
- Must be able to handle several activities simultaneously with attention to detail and adherence to deadlines and accuracy.
- Must adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
