Barista Job Description: $20/hr plus shared tips
Prior Barista Experience required.
Baristas are primarily responsible for the production of all coffee beverages as well as cleaning and maintaining the specialty coffee equipment, a clean station, and stocking supplies throughout the shift. Baristas will create beverages in proper order, quickly, and present them to the expo/guest as beautifully and consistently as possible.
Primary Responsibilities
• Produce all coffee beverages in a consistent and timely manner.
• Maintain and clean the specialty equipment and coffee station.
• Be knowledgeable on all product and restock as necessary.
• Attend all relevant trainings and implement standards at all times.
• Ensure that all beverages meet the highest quality and presentation standards before they are served.
• Assist in managing order flow and timing to provide an exceptional dining experience.
• Maintain a clean and organized station.
• Monitor and ensure we are meeting Health and Safety standards.
Skills
• Previous Barista experience required.
• Experience handling specialty coffee machinery a plus.
• Experience in a coffee house, kitchen or fine dining service environment is preferred.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality.
• Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiarity with restaurant operations, including banquets and catering services, is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• New Restaurant Opening experience is a plus!
• Familiarity with KDS systems preferred
