Essential Functions:
|
Applies, removes, and completes log book accurately for holter monitors as per departmental policy. |
|
Demonstrates strong organizational skills, communicates effectively. Organizes daily schedule and demonatrates time management. |
|
Ensures RDCS/RCS Certification is current. |
|
Maintains at least 15 Continuing Medical Education credits per three (3) year period in accordance with ICAEL standards. |
|
Maintains that the department remains organized, including restocking supplies to avoid unnecessary patient delays. Informs department manager when supplies are to be ordered so that inventory is maintained on the floor. |
|
Maintains ultrasound equipment (including carts and probes) in operable condition. Disinfects and appropriately stores TEE and echo probes as per protocol on daily basis. |
|
Manages time and procedural performance of technical staff (including him/herself) to meet the needs of the Lab. Possesses good working knowledge of scheduling and procedure prioritization to minimize delays and ensure completion of daily work schedule. |

Performs complete echocardiograms (all modalities) inclusive of obtaining images and providing preliminary interpretation. Performs stress testing. Connects and removes Holter monitors. Assists physicians in TEE procedures. |
|
Performs other duties as assigned by Medical Director and/or Manager. |
|
Provide preliminary reports for echocardiograms and review with physicians as required. |
|
Records appropriate documentation in patient medical records. Accurately completes daily log sheets with all procedures performed. Completes orders appropriately in hospital system or other method as determined by department management. |

Seeks guidance and direction, as appropriate, for quality completion of testing procedures. |
|
|
Thoroughly explains procedures to patients prior to testing. Provides appropriate patient teaching as necessary. |
