Maintenance Technician at Pax Properties – Tallahassee, Florida

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at Swan Luxury Studio Apartments in Tallahassee, FL.

As a Maintenance Technician, you will support the Maintenance Manager in handling day-to-day repairs, preventive maintenance, and upkeep of the property. This is a hands-on role that requires strong troubleshooting skills, reliability, and a commitment to keeping our community in excellent condition.

• General Maintenance: Perform repairs and installations for plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general building systems.

• Preventive Care: Conduct inspections and routine maintenance on equipment, appliances, and systems.

• Repairs & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues quickly and professionally.

• Facility Upkeep: Maintain clean, safe, and operational common areas and grounds.

• Emergency Maintenance: Respond to urgent calls, including evenings and weekends, when scheduled.

• Work Orders: Complete and document resident requests in a timely manner.

• Resident Service: Provide friendly, professional service when assisting residents.

• Safety Compliance: Follow safety guidelines, building codes, and company policies.

• Prior experience in apartment, hotel, or property maintenance preferred.

• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance required.

• Certifications (HVAC, plumbing, etc.) a plus, but not required.

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability.

• Reliable, organized, and able to prioritize tasks independently.

• Good communication and customer service skills.

• Must be able to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certifications a plus.

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
