Description:
To provide direct psychiatric care to assigned consumers at various program sites. To include assessment/diagnosis for the purpose of determining appropriateness of medication treatment, ongoing medication evaluation/monitoring and participation in patient treatment planning as a member of the multidisciplinary clinical team.
Requirements:Responsibilities:
- Manages various teams and projects to ensure the highest level of standard of care adhering to medical best practices and informatics data.
- Ensures assigned consumers receive appropriate diagnostic assessment and treatment management in the content of a comprehensive treatment plan in collaboration with other team members.
- Provides continuity of care by collaborative involvement with other external care providers.
- Functions as an integral member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Contributes to the overall Mission of MFS by participating in agency related functions.
- Provides direct psychiatric services consistent with MFS work standards.
- Completes administrative tasks to assure optimal availability and utilization of psychiatric time and services.
- Performs similar or related duties as assigned by Chief Medical Officer.
Qualifications:
- NH Medical License or NH Nursing License and NH APRN License
- Current DEA
- ABPN Certification in General Psychiatry for MDs/DOs
- Psychiatric Certification preferred for APRNs
- Comfort and knowledge in prescribing for adults and adolescents (formal Child and Adolescent Certification not required)
