Registered Dietitian at Citizens Memorial – Bolivar, Missouri

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Dietitian to join our staff to care for patients in the Diabetes Education Center! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department: The CMH Diabetic Education Center provides various services to help patients improve their nutritional intake. Services are tailored to each patient's individual needs.

A typical day includes: Providing nutritional care and education to diabetes patients and others.

• Completes nutrition assessments and consults in a timely manner, including comprehensive assessments per industry standards
• Conducts follow-ups to track patient progress and outcomes
• Provides timely nutrition education and counseling to patients and family members to optimize nutrition compliance and quality of life
• Utilizes equipment, supplies, and procedures as applicable to scope of practice and patient demographics served

Job Requirements:

• Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelors Degree in Dietetics and completion of an approved dietetic internship or coordinated undergraduate program; or Registered Nurse
• Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in diabetes self-management education OR in an endocrinology clinic setting
• Licensure/Certification: Registered with the Commission of Dietetic Registration; State of Missouri Licensed Dietitian, or Registered Nurse licensed in the state of Missouri; Certified Diabetes and Education Care Specialist, or must obtain within 2 years of employment

This position is: PRN, days; some nights and weekends may be required
