About This Position

Coastal Pacific Food Distributors (CPFD) has a, Full-Time, Facilities Maintenance position open in the Fife/Puyallup, WA Dry/Chill/Freezer Warehouses. Work schedule is Monday-Friday; 8 am to 4:30 pm (Core Hours). The ideal candidate will provide basic and advanced preventative maintenance and repair to warehouse facilities and grounds including all warehouse equipment and components.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and repair facility equipment which includes battery operated equipment in a manner that minimizes down time.
  • Perform general facility and equipment preventative maintenance
  • Perform basic and advanced facility maintenance which includes carpentry, electrical, concrete work, plumbing, painting, and door repair.
  • Ability to learn our CO2 and Freon refrigeration systems.
  • Maintain and repair hydraulics on equipment.
  • Operate heavy equipment.
  • Orders parts and maintain inventory.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Most be able to work in Chill and Frozen environments.
  • Follow and maintain all safety regulations.
Job Requirements:
Education: High School diploma. Prefer to be a graduate of a trade school.
Experience: Six months’ verifiable work experience
Knowledge: Basic computer skills; MS Word & Excel
Driver’s License: Must have a valid license and a clean driving record
Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to learn our CO2 and Freon refrigeration systems.
  • Basic electrical skills.
  • Experienced in building and carpentry with knowledge of building codes.
  • The ability to work independently and work in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Team oriented.
  • Ability to identify, analyze, solve and prevent problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others both oral and written.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret oral and written information.
  • Must be able to work any shift hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as needed to accomplish the goals of the department and company.
  • Must be Self-motivated.
