This role supports multiple hotels and can be based at the Edgewater in Seattle or the Kirkland corporate office.
A day in the life...
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Property Accountant to manage the financial operations for our shared services team to support affiliated property Homeowners Associations (HOAs), Club Memberships, and Hotel Operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and providing strategic support to property managers members, and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in real estate accounting, preferably within mixed-use, HOA, or resort-style properties. supports multiple hotels and can be based at the Edgewater in Seattle or the Kirkland corporate office.
· Prepare and maintain monthly financial statements for HOAs, membership entities, and hotel operations for multiple properties.
· Manage general ledger entries, journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations for all assigned entities.
· Process accounts payable and receivable transactions and ensure accuracy and timeliness.
Oversee bank, credit card and reconciliations, ensuring completeness and proper documentation.
· Maintain detailed records of HOA budgets, dues collection, and expense allocations.
Collaborate with property managers and HOA boards on budget preparation and financial planning.
· Track and report on member dues, assessments, rental income, and related receivables and payables
· Prepare board packages, financial reports, and attend HOA meetings as needed.
· Support hotel operations with accounts payable, accounts receivable and journal entries.
· Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards (GAAP, USALI) and applicable HOA regulations.
· Assist with internal and external audits, providing supporting documentation as required.
· Complete month end close, and annual fee reconciliations.
You own this if you have…
· 1+ years prior experience with mixed-use developments or resort-style communities, HOA, commercial or mixed-use property.
· Strong proficiency in Excel and experience with industry software (Acumatica, Yardi, Quickbooks, sage, etc)
· 1 year experience in AP & AR functions
· 1 year experience with CAM billing, expense allocation, or dues/fee collection.
· 1 year experience with HOA, association or CAM budgeting and reconciliation.
· Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, thoroughness, organization, and highly motivated
· Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization.
· Proficient with software, including accounting systems and Office 365.
Salary:
$29.00 to $34.00 an hour
Travel:
This role may require occasional travel to affiliated out-of-state properties, up to 20% of the time.
