Electrical Service Technician at BESCO – Knoxville, Tennessee

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Electrical Service Technician with a strong background in commercial and industrial environments. This role involves performing electrical installations, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs at various client sites. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with a commitment to safety, quality work, and customer service. A rotating on-call schedule is required to support emergency service needs.

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial settings
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using proper testing equipment and methods
• Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical diagrams
• Complete service tickets, work orders, and reports with accuracy
• Ensure compliance with the NEC, local electrical codes, and company safety policies
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean and working order
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and team members
• Required participation in a rotating on-call schedule for after-hours service calls and emergencies

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical service, with focus on commercial and industrial work
• Strong knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
• Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic tools
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure
• Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a variety of environments, including ladders, lifts, and confined spaces

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certification
• Experience with PLCs, motor controls, or industrial automation a plus
