Job Summary

This job contributes to Rock N Rolls’ success by assisting the manager in maintaining quality, cost, production, and service standards. Responsible for all store functions including food purchasing, preparation and maintenance of quality standards, sanitation and cleanliness, training/coaching of employees in methods of cooking, preparation, plate presentation, portion control, cleanliness, and customer service when Manager is not present. The incumbent is responsible for modeling and acting in accordance with Rock N Rolls’ Mission Statement and Philosophy.

Qualifications

• Proven work experience as an Assistant Kitchen Manager or Restaurant Manager
• Hands-on experience with planning menus and ordering ingredients
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Enthusiastic about managing a team in a fast-paced work environment
• Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends
• Servsafe certification a plus
• Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management a plus

Rock N Rolls is the pioneer of sweet & savory egg rolls with an American twist. Owner Shamaya Oberlton (Bella) began this journey in 2016, initially to raise money for her mother’s Chemo-therapy treatments for pancreatic cancer. During her fundraising efforts, Bella and her mother noted how popular their seafood eggroll was—an old family recipe. Bella began to blend other types of American cuisines into the traditional Asian style egg roll, and Rock N Rolls was born. Although Bella's mother did not survive to see the opening of the first Rock N Rolls food truck, Bella is committed to making the world a better place, advocating for cancer patients, and homeless women and children.
