About This Position

The Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG) is seeking two Data & Analysis Interns to join our team for approximately 12 months. Hours are flexible within our regular business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Interns may work up to 20 hours per week during the school year and up to 30 hours per week in the summer, depending on school schedule.

Both interns will be part of SACOG’s Data & Analysis Team but will focus on different project areas:

  • ·Transportation Modeling & Analysis Group – This intern will support the latest update to SACOG’s regional travel demand model, which is used as a key tool for the region’s long-range planning, transportation project evaluation, and air quality conformity requirements.
  • Data & Mapping Services Group – This intern will support data collection and analysis across a broad set of sources that are used to map and track progress, evaluate land uses and development, and support regional planning.

These internships are ideal for students who enjoy working with data, solving analytical challenges, and contributing to projects that have a real impact on regional planning and policy.

Applicants do not need to indicate a preference for either group. You will automatically be considered for both internship opportunities.
