About This Position

JOB SUMMARY

The Business Solutions Analyst (BSA) will work with business and IT stakeholders to identify and define needs and issues, document requirements, and solve problems using fact-based analysis. This role interfaces with engineering teams and client support teams to ensure that system enhancements supporting client and end-user requirements are functioning optimally, and the client teams are well equipped to obtain user satisfaction. This position supports end users of our CloudScript proprietary CRM software and ensures an efficient flow of problem tickets through problem management processes. BSA will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business goals and the solutions that are developed to address those goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work closely with stakeholders, such as account directors, program managers, end-users, and subject matter experts, to gather and clarify their requirements for a project or system enhancement.
  • Assist the business operations team to design and implement processes within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system related to these requirements.
  • Analyze gathered requirements to identify patterns, inconsistencies, and potential challenges. BSAs ensure that requirements are clear, complete, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Documents requirements in various forms, such as user stories, use cases, functional specifications, business process models, and data models. This documentation serves as a basis for the development team to design and build the solution.
  • Act as a communication bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team. Facilitate discussions and ensure that both parties understand each other's perspectives and needs.
  • Align requests for changes to product goals set by the Product Manager(s).
  • Work closely with software developers to design solutions and ensure that the proposed solutions align with business requirements/business operation’s needs.
  • Validates that the delivered solution meets the documented requirements. They conduct tests, review deliverables, and ensure that the solution satisfies the business needs.
  • Identify and assess potential risks and issues related to the project or system's requirements and propose mitigation strategies. Develop and maintain project documentation including business cases, requirements specifications, use cases, and process flows.
  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including developers, testers, and project managers to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Answers developer and end user questions through the development life cycle.
  • Be able to operate across multiple projects simultaneously and perform a variety of tasks, from addressing production issues to soliciting functional requirements from business stakeholders.

TRAINING, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technology-related field required
  • Experience writing use cases, workflow diagrams, and test cases
  • 8 or more years’ related experience
  • Experience in setting up and improving processes and workflow improvements
  • Software Development Life Cycle experience.
  • Highly technical and familiar with PM tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Linear, SmartSheet, etc.
  • Experience with AGILE methodology
  • SCRUM certification or experience preferred

  • Comprehensive understanding of business analysis processes, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to quickly grasp applications purpose and understanding of its process.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop creative solutions to complex problems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work, both independently and in a team, establishing and maintaining cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliverables in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Ability to quickly learn new processes and concepts.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
