POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Server Engineer is responsible for and leads various aspects of designing, building, monitoring, updating, and maintaining the server and computer infrastructure environment, encompassing both software and hardware components. The Senior Server Engineer consistently works independently, effectively leads others without authority, makes sound decisions, presents comprehensive cases for new ideas, independently manages capacity planning to help with budgeting, and provides infrastructure metrics. As a leader of the server team, this role is a vital part of a team managing the primary computing resources for a large, multi-regional healthcare provider. Key technical areas of focus may include:
Ensuring the availability of mission-critical systems is paramount in this role. As part of supporting a 24x7x365 environment, this role assures ongoing operations and security for a facility that operates continuously to provide the best possible care to the patients we serve. |

EDUCATION/TRAINING: Minimum: Associate degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field. Two (2) years combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree. Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field. |

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Minimum: N/A Preferred: Advanced certification in a relevant technical area, such as Microsoft, VMware, Nutanix, Citrix, cloud, or storage, EMC. |

EXPERIENCE: Minimum: N/A Preferred: 5 years of relevant experience in IT Server Administration, Business Operations, Project Management, Analytics, or Monitoring. |
