Position Summary:



Responsible for proper table set-up, table service for guests, and knowledge of menu to be served. This person will apply all safe food handling principles as they pertain to this position. This person will work with management and team members to instill and foster the value of The Inn’s Mission Statement. This person will focus on our Core Values: Cleanliness and Sanitation, Friendly Courteous Service, Quality, Meticulous Attention to Detail, and Safety. All team members should improve our systems and overall operation.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set-up food area for service.
  • Serve guests and clean plates in a courteous manner.
  • Maintain a clean and neat work and service area including removal of dishes and breakdown of dining room after service.
  • Perform set-up and service for special functions.
  • Responsible for set-up of buffets/food areas as listed on Banquet Event Order.
  • Knowledge of menu and basic ingredients in food items including allergy awareness.
  • Perform additional duties and assist with special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic knowledge of food items, cleaning practices and simple food preparation.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a group under general supervision.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • 1 year food service experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:
  • Standing for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds.
