Senior Inventory Case Specialist in Wakefield, Rhode Island at South County Hospital

Job Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring that products are properly requisitioned, stored, picked for surgical cases, inventoried, and rotated in the central sterile stockroom. Also, coordinates all functions required to perform physical inventory for area.

Sr. Supply Chain Inventory Case Specialist will maintain inventory and non-inventory products and picks products to support surgical cases on a daily basis. Clinical knowledge and interaction with the surgeons, nurses, and OR/ Interventional team is vital to ensure proper products are available at the time of surgery. Requisitions product as needed as back up to the Supply Chain Team Lead, accurately in Meditech, as needed for the buying team to submit purchase orders to the supplier. Work with supply chain team and Supply Chain Team Lead maintaining all inventory sheets and oversees inventory in Central Sterile supply areas. Daily monitor par levels to make sure adequate to manage inventory for the surgical storerooms and responsible areas. Assists in coordinating equipment managements/rentals. Other duties include unpacking all goods in breakout room and maintaining organized area. This team member will ensure customer service, partner with Team Lead/Buyer on all ordering, pricing, back orders and management of inventory. In addition, this position will function as a member of the supply chain team partnering will all procedures, policies, and adhering to value analysis process. Overall goal is providing needed products to staff while reducing costs that align with achieving departmental goals.

Reports to: Team Lead/Buyer

Minimum of (2) years of previous experience in inventory and/or supply chain

Experience in computerized inventory and distribution systems
