Family Life Services Counselor - Outpatient in Williamsport, Pennsylvania at Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries

This position provides counseling services in an outpatient clinic setting.

Diakon Family Life Services offers a range of counseling and behavioral health services to children, teens, families and adult individuals. Services are provided through counseling centers in Mechanicsburg, New Bloomfield, Lewisburg, Montoursville and Williamsport as well as within several public-school buildings. Specialized programs include family-based mental health services, provided in the community and in-home, addictions counseling, trauma-focused therapy and SPIN, a service designed to assist children and youths who have problematic sexual behaviors.

General Responsibilities:

• Responsible for providing clinical services to individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Coordinates case management on all assigned cases.
• Conducts individual, couple, family, and/or group therapy sessions.

Education/Training: A bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, sociology or a related field of study required.

Experience: A minimum of two (2) years' supervised clinical experience in an outpatient setting preferred.

ADA: Ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, and lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.; visual and auditory skills.
