New Accounts Representative in Chico, California at Golden Valley Bank

Golden Valley Bank is currently seeking a personable, professional, and detail-oriented New Accounts Representative in our Chico Office. As a community bank, we take pride in providing personalized financial solutions and exceptional service to individuals and businesses in the communities we serve. Reporting to the Senior Relationship Banking Officer, the New Accounts Representative will serve as an important first point of contact for new and existing customers and plays a key role in delivering an extraordinary community banking experience. The ideal candidate will have great communication skills, the ability to listen to customers and determine their needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Open new consumer and business checking, savings, money market, certificate of deposit, and other deposit accounts.
• Develop strong relationships with customers and identify opportunities to meet their financial needs through appropriate bank products and services.
• Refer customer to lenders and other banking specialists when appropriate.
• Have a commitment to the vision, mission, and core values of Golden Valley Bank.
• Maintain a strong working knowledge of deposit products, bank policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Follow applicable BSA/AML, CIP, OFAC, privacy, and other compliance requirements.
• Know that you can make a positive difference in the community with excellence in customer service.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
• Competence to take initiative and prioritize tasks; good time-management, organizational, problem-prevention and problem-solving skills.
• Previous banking, new accounts, teller, financial services, or customer-service experience preferred.
• Willingness to adapt to changing business needs and deadlines.
• Strong sense of responsibility and accountability.
