Special Procedures Supervisor Position Summary

Performs those duties directly involved with Diagnostic International Radiology in Special Procedures under the direction of the Radiologist. Demonstrates leadership and management skills in supervision of special Procedures Technologists and Radiology Nurses as overall operation of the Special Procedure rooms. Works closely with the medical staff in order to maximize the capabilities of the special areas. Responsible for the management of the Outpatient Recovery Unit (ORU) and supervision of personnel assigned to that unit. Supports the clinical nursing practice and patient care delivery, including patient satisfaction.

Special Procedures Supervisor Position Requirements

Education

• A.R.R.T Certification and state licensure Radiology Technologist required. Must possess current C.P.R. card.

Experience

• A minimum of three years of supervisory experience with adequate additional training in all aspects of angiography and other interventional studies.

Special Procedures Supervisor Schedule

• Usually day shift - Monday - Friday.
• Will rotate on-call evenings and weekends.
• May alternate working on Saturdays.
• Occasionally required to be on premises for extended periods of time for emergencies, or to complete the day’s procedures.
