Job Description
The purpose of this position is to service the existing customer base and acquire new customers via regular in-person sales calls in their assigned territories. The Sales Representative will promote the BESTOLIFE® Brand, deliver best-in-class customer care, promote the sale of new products, perform customer care functions such as addressing/closing customer complaints, attending national trade shows, entertaining customers, and assisting with business functions such as account receivables as requested by business partners. This position reports directly to the Sales Manager and will play a key role in expanding our sales into new markets.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate development of regional sales forecasts, strategies, advertising and promotional programs.
- Achieve aggressive sales goals while driving a profitable mix of products.
- Compile and manage a database of prospective customers/opportunities for use as sales leads based on information obtained from industry sources, business directories, and other sources to meet established sales objectives. The Sale Representative must be a self-starter and own execution of growth plans via mapped Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
- Travel throughout assigned territory (up to 50%) to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or speak with customers or prospective customers by telephone.
- Represent the Company at trade shows, trade organization meetings and other industry related events.
- Quote prices and credit terms and prepare sales contracts for orders obtained.
- Provide feedback on customers, product ideas, market opportunities, competitors, and industry trends.
- Conduct effective voice of the customer to understand technical, management and decision-making needs.
- Cultivate relationships with distributors and end users.
- Develop technical knowledge of products by working with the Seniors Sales Representative, R&D Manager and Sales Manager to be able to converse with customers on technical issues.
- Direct training and performance feedback to maximize performance in the region.
- Keep Sales Manager appraised of changing market conditions via monthly updates.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:
- At least three years of experience in the oil and gas or industrial lubricants industries
- Strong working knowledge of drilling, casing and tubing joints and connections
- Proven history of building sales
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Experience managing distributor networks preferred
- Good computer skills including MS Excel, MS Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel, approximately 50% in assigned territories

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
