This role is focused on supporting complex federal programs through rigorous financial analysis, program control, and performance monitoring. You will play a key part in ensuring accurate forecasting, cost control, and financial transparency across multiple government-facing projects. Working closely with program managers and cross-functional teams, you will help translate financial data into actionable insights that guide decision-making and improve program outcomes. The environment is fast-paced and highly analytical, requiring strong attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities. You will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and compliance activities aligned with government contracting standards. This position offers high visibility with senior leadership and a direct impact on the financial health of mission-critical programs.
Support program financial integrity and execution by driving budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and performance reporting across federal programs while ensuring compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, cost estimating, and EAC development
- Monitor program financial performance, costs, milestones, and risks while recommending corrective actions
- Support monthly reporting on program health, financial status, and funding availability for leadership review
- Collaborate with program managers and functional teams to optimize resource allocation and improve financial outcomes
- Assist in proposal development through cost estimates, basis of estimate (BOE) inputs, and supporting documentation
- Support audits, RFIs, and compliance activities aligned with DCAA, FAR, and internal policies
- Incorporate contract changes into ERP systems to ensure accurate backlog and financial reporting
2–4+ years of experience in program control, financial analysis, accounting, or related disciplines within government contracting or similar regulated environments, supported by a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Strong analytical and financial modeling skills are essential.
- Strong understanding of financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Experience working with government contracts and compliance frameworks such as DCAA and FAR
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial analysis tools
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Deltek Costpoint, Unanet, or SAP is highly desirable
- Ability to interpret complex data and translate it into clear, actionable insights
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business teams
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to manage deadlines
