Environmental Technician Lead in Kearney, Nebraska at Bryan Health

Environmental Services Aides are responsible for keeping the KRMC facility safe, clean, disinfected and well maintained in compliance with federal, state, and local health codes and regulations. Responsible for disinfecting all areas of the hospital including; patient areas, diagnostic testing rooms, waiting areas, staff areas, examination rooms, operation rooms, and corridors. Environmental Services Leads are responsible for aide duties as well as supervisory duties for the staff.

• Maintains routine records of all duties performed/areas cleaned and any problems that may arise.
• A working knowledge of department policies in order to help train and orient new employees.
• Maintains communication with Manager through various means, email, text, phone calls etc.
• Order of supplies at an acceptable level within budget limitations. Notifies Manager of all back orders. In Manager absence, communicate with Purchasing resolve back order.
• Completes schedule in a timely manner, ensuring appropriate staffing.
• Responsible for carrying and answering the lead phone always throughout shift.
• Acknowledges teammates with KUDO’s and other praises.
• Meets with manager on a weekly basis for discussion of staffing, assignments, projects etc.
• In the manager’s absence, the Lead will keep Support Services Director apprised of any issues.
• In the Manager’s absence, the Lead will discuss with the Director of Support Services and/or Human Recourses’ any disciplinary issues. Director/HR will determine action to be taken.
• Holds Manager accountable.

Regulatory Requirements:

• Three to six (3-6) months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Has a basic knowledge of Microsoft products i.e.; Word & Excel
