About the Role

As a Material Handler, you’re the engine that keeps our donations flowing! You’ll load, unload, sort, and move items so they can get to the right place — whether it’s the sales floor, a processing area, or recycling. You’ll also help keep our warehouse and donation areas safe, clean, and organized. It’s a role for someone who likes to stay active, take pride in their work, and be part of a team that’s building something bigger than themselves.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Greet donors and treat everyone with dignity and respect
• Safely load and unload trucks using equipment such as pallet jacks, dollies, or forklifts
• Transport boxes, bins, and crates to the correct departments
• Sort donations by category for processing or resale
• Break down and dispose of recyclables properly
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas (warehouse, dock, and lot)
• Assist in moving store fixtures and merchandise as needed
• Follow all Goodwill policies, safety rules, and operational procedures

What We’re Looking For

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet throughout your shift
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
• Ability to operate (or willingness to learn) warehouse equipment
• Previous material handling or warehouse experience preferred, but not required

Work Environment

This is an active, physical job — you’ll work indoors and outdoors, sometimes in varying weather conditions, and will regularly use equipment like forklifts, balers, and pallet jacks.
