Job Description

Job Overview:

The Operations Manager reports to the Division manager and is in charge of assisting the division/ area with the intent for growth. Each division runs a business unit and responsible for managing their own profit and loss on a monthly basis with the assistance of financial leaders. The ideal candidate will have experience in the industrial services industry, be familiar with leak sealing and is a successful team leader.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Division Manager as they manage all field services staff (up to 10) at the divisional level
  • Assist with performance management for field level technical staff
  • Review and approve scopes of work to ensure safety and quality standards are established
  • Ensure service dates and customer commitments are met
  • Assist with the divisional P&L ensuring cost and profitability levels are achieved
  • Coordinate field services labor scheduling
  • Establish and maintain customer relations with various levels within the customer organization
  • Support Division Manager in preparation of various reports to provide to regional management including safety, financial, technical, etc
  • Maintain sufficient levels of stock inventory to support business needs
  • Build and maintain a cohesive and safe working environment
  • Represent Colt with honesty in day-to-day duties
  • Maintain Colt’s values in both action and appearance

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

  • 5+ years of experience in industrial service, preferably in leak sealing
  • 2+ years of experience managing a team of more than 2
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
  • High driven, self-motivated and well organized
  • Mut be able to safely operate a vehicle and make face-to-face customer meetings
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean record
  • Ability to adapt to ever changing schedules and priorities (24 hour emergency service)
  • Ability to pass a drug & alcohol test and background check in compliance with our safety program
  • All management roles are responsible for setting a good example for their staff
