Job Description

Sellers & Associates, LLC (S&A) is seeking a Financial Administration and Program Analyst to provide financial management, budget analysis, and program support services supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This position supports the planning, execution, and oversight of financial activities to ensure effective stewardship of government resources and compliance with applicable fiscal laws, regulations, and financial management requirements

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support financial management, budget planning, cost analysis, and forecasting activities for assigned programs and projects
  • Assist with the preparation, review, and monitoring of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports
  • Review and analyze financial transactions, expenditures, and funding documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Support the administration and maintenance of financial controls and reporting processes
  • Assist with tracking appropriated and non-appropriated funds in accordance with applicable regulations and organizational requirements
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement
  • Support audit readiness activities, financial reviews, and compliance reporting requirements
  • Prepare financial documentation, reports, spreadsheets, and briefings for leadership and stakeholders
  • Assist program managers and leadership with financial planning and resource allocation activities
  • Utilize automated financial reporting and scheduling systems to support program execution and tracking
  • Coordinate with internal teams and government stakeholders to support financial operations and reporting requirements
  • Maintain organized financial records and supporting documentation in accordance with company and contract requirements
  • Support process improvement initiatives related to financial management and reporting activities
  • Perform additional administrative and analytical duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in financial management, accounting, budgeting, business finance, or related financial disciplines
  • Minimum of five (5) years of financial management experience, including cost analysis, accounting, budgeting, planning, and forecasting
  • At least five (5) years of cumulative progressively responsible experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) programs in one or more of the following areas:
    • Development and implementation of financial controls
    • Interpretation and application of fiscal laws, regulations, and rulings
    • Examination and review of financial transactions
    • Administration of programs and systems used to manage and control appropriated and non-appropriated funds
      • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data and support decision-making
      • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare financial reports and documentation
      • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
      • U.S. Citizenship required
      • Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Preferred: 

  • Experience supporting financial management activities within Department of Defense or federal government environments
  • Familiarity with federal appropriations law and DoD financial management regulations
  • Experience supporting financial reporting, audits, or program financial reviews
  • Experience working with enterprise financial management systems or automated reporting tools
  • Experience providing financial analysis and recommendations to program managers or senior leadership
