NEUROLOGIST – OUTPATIENT | TBI FOCUS
Location: San Diego, CA
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday
On-Call: None
Weekends: None

Salary: $350,000–$400,000 per year + monthly census-based bonus
JOB SUMMARY
Institutes of Health (IOH) is seeking a Neurologist to join our multidisciplinary team in San Diego, California. This is a 100% outpatient, non-procedural position focused on the evaluation and management of patients with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), concussion, neurocognitive concerns, chronic headaches, and other complex neurological conditions.
This position is ideal for a neurologist seeking a predictable Monday–Friday schedule, strong work-life balance, and the opportunity to provide comprehensive neurological care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Institutes of Health (IOH) provides multidisciplinary behavioral medicine, medical psychology, neurology, and chronic pain rehabilitation services. Our team uses a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to help patients improve function, quality of life, and return-to-work outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations, including concussion and post-traumatic assessments
Evaluate and manage patients with traumatic brain injuries and other neurological disorders
Assess neurocognitive and functional concerns
Diagnose and manage neurological conditions related to work injuries and trauma
Develop individualized treatment recommendations focused on functional improvement
Collaborate with psychology, PM&R, pain management, and rehabilitation providers
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment recommendations as clinically appropriate
Document clinical findings and treatment recommendations in accordance with applicable Workers’ Compensation requirements
Participate as a member of a multidisciplinary care team
IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal physician:
• Enjoys outpatient neurological care and complex clinical evaluations
Has an interest in TBI, concussion, neurocognitive disorders, and rehabilitation
Values a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach to patient care
Is focused on functional recovery and return-to-work outcomes
Appreciates a predictable schedule and work-life balance
Is interested in a non-procedural practice without call or weekend responsibilities
QUALIFICATIONS
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
Active and unrestricted California medical license required
Outpatient neurology experience preferred
Experience with TBI, concussion, neurocognitive disorders, or rehabilitation preferred
Workers’ Compensation experience is a plus
Strong clinical communication and documentation skills
Compassionate and patient-centered approach
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
• $350,000–$400,000 annual base salary
Monthly census-based bonus opportunity
Monday–Friday schedule
No weekends
No on-call responsibilities
100% outpatient practice
