- Compensation: Starting at $16.97 per hour, based on education and experience.

What You'll Do as an Insurance Verification Representative I
- Obtain pre-certification and benefits verification for all patient admissions.
- Contact insurance providers to verify coverage, network status, and financial responsibilities.
- Process patient registration and admission information accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to facilitate a seamless admission process.
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, insurance regulations, and patient confidentiality standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service to enhance the patient experience.
Qualifications
- Education:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience:
- 3–6 months of experience in a medical office, clinic, or acute care setting preferred, but not required.
- Licensure/Certifications:
- None required.
- Skills & Abilities:
- Knowledge of patient admissions and scheduling processes.
- Strong communication skills for patient interactions, insurance verification, and care coordination.
- Proficiency with computer systems, faxing, phone operations, and document scanning.
- Attention to compliance, detail, and financial accuracy.
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff.
Physical & Work Environment
- Prolonged sitting, with periods of standing and walking, often 7+ hours per day.
- Occasional bending, squatting, twisting, and turning.
- Near visual acuity for computer and document review tasks.
- Standard office environment.
