Description:

SpeechCom, Inc. is looking for a Full-time, CA state licensed Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to serve a school district in Corona-Norco, CA for the 2026-27 school year.

Rate of Pay: $38-$45 per hour, W2 (depending upon experience)

Hours: 8 hours per day with a half hour unpaid lunch; 5 days a week

Details:

  • Will support the district OTs
  • Assignment runs through the entire school year: Immediate start
  • Must pass LiveScan
  • TB Test Required

Requirements:

Education

Associate's Degree (or other 2-year degree)

Requirements :CA state-issued license

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Executing bilateral assisted activities
  • Assisting in planning programs for activities
  • Assisting with group activities
  • Assisting with the applying any adaptive equipment

Job Duties

  • Observe and record students' progress, attitudes, and behavior, and maintain this information in student records.
  • Maintain and promote a positive attitude toward students and their treatment programs.
  • Monitor students' performance during therapy activities and provide encouragement.
  • Select therapy activities to fit students' needs and capabilities.
  • Instruct, or assist in instructing, students and families (if applicable), basic living skills, or the care and use of adaptive equipment.
  • Evaluate the daily living skills or capacities of students with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities.
  • Implement, or assist occupational therapists with implementing, treatment plans designed to help students function independently.
  • Report to supervisors, verbally or in writing, on students' progress, attitudes, and behavior.
  • Work under the direction of occupational therapists to plan, implement, or administer educational, vocational, or recreational programs that restore or enhance performance in students with functional impairments.
  • Assemble, clean, or maintain equipment or materials for student use.
  • Perform clerical duties, such as scheduling sessions, collecting data, or documenting health insurance billings.
  • Transport students to and from the occupational therapy work area.
  • Demonstrate therapy techniques, such as manual or creative arts or games.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other service providers involved with the care of the student.
  • Responsible for maintaining and completing the continuing education requirements necessary for license renewal.
  • Other duties as assigned.
