Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Slovenian Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our clients in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

C200180 Job Information:

• Student: Face to face lessons for a parent & child (10 years old)
• Availability: Weekday mornings between 8:30-11:00am & 16:30; weekend occasionally
• Preferred start date: September 5, 2026
• Lesson Duration: 1 hour & 1.5 per lesson each
• Location: close to Zdravstveni dom Ljubljana Vič-Rudnik pediatrics, Šestova ulica 10, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia
• Preferred platform: In -person
• Current target language level: Complete beginner
  Native and other spoken languages: French, English, Mandarin
• Student’s language needs and goals:
• Spouse: I'm looking for a teacher who can explain the lessons in English (not necessarily in French), who has relatively extensive experience in teaching Slovene as a foreign language and with at least 5 years teaching experience. He/she should also come with lesson plans and able to adjust accordingly.
  For myself, I'd like to start twice; 1.5 hours per week for the first 4 weeks and 4 X 1.5 hours starting from week 5. I'd prefer lessons taking place weekday mornings between 8:30-11:00am depending on teacher's availability.
• For my daughter of 10 years old, she can regular lessons twice X 1 hour per week, starting from 16:30; with additional lessons on the weekend occasionally, depending on teacher's availability and prior agreement. I'd like the teacher to be able to employ play-based learning for my daughter's age. They can play board games, do handcrafts and other creative and educational activities to help with the learning.

Responsibilities:

• Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

Qualifications:

• To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
• To have a degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second-language acquisition, or a related field
• To have a minimum of two years of teaching experience
