This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mid-Market Account Manager based in Canada.
As a Mid-Market Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of customers and play a key role in driving sustainable revenue growth through retention, expansion, upselling, and cross-selling. You will build trusted relationships with clients by understanding their business priorities and connecting them with solutions that support their goals. The role combines consultative selling, account strategy, negotiation, and customer engagement. You will identify opportunities within existing accounts and guide them through the full sales cycle. Working closely with internal teams, you will help create a seamless customer experience and strengthen long-term partnerships. - Drive net dollar retention across an assigned portfolio by identifying and closing upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
- Manage client contract renewals, negotiating terms that support increased Annual Recurring Revenue and long-term customer relationships.
- Identify, develop, and close new “land and expand” opportunities within existing accounts.
- Build strong relationships with key client stakeholders and develop a deep understanding of their business objectives, challenges, and priorities.
- Prepare proposals, presentations, and other client-facing materials to support account growth and sales activities.
- Maintain accurate sales pipeline information and provide regular monthly and quarterly reporting on opportunities and performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of subscription models, product capabilities, and new releases to confidently address customer questions and position relevant solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to support the customer lifecycle and ensure client needs are effectively addressed.
- Participate in team initiatives and projects designed to improve sales processes, productivity, and commercial outcomes.
- Continuously develop product knowledge through training, product updates, and industry learning.
- Bachelor’s degree or post-secondary qualification, preferably in business or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience successfully managing client relationships and generating revenue through upselling, cross-selling, or account expansion.
- Proven ability to manage a portfolio of customers while consistently working toward revenue and retention targets.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple accounts and opportunities effectively.
- Outgoing, personable, commercially driven, and collaborative approach to customer engagement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where priorities and customer needs can evolve quickly.
- SaaS or technology sales experience is preferred.
- Experience working with global customers or geographically distributed client portfolios is an advantage.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Experience with CRM and sales technologies such as Salesforce is desirable.
- Additional language fluency is a plus.
