ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Analyzes samples using the methods in the laboratory, performs calculations and data analysis, and provides appropriate and compliant documentation for review and release of products.

2. Continue training on analytical methods to achieve proficiency in testing any and all products for commercial release and stability programs.

3. Assists in the basic operations of the laboratory in support of the essential analytical testing.

4. Basic trouble shooting for instruments and methods to meet sample testing requirements.

5. Must be a team player who works well with management, QC Scientists, and Technicians to achieve assigned goals. Able to present a positive attitude and a professional demeanor.

Requirements:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor of Science degree from a four-year college or university in a scientific field and a minimum of two years of experience in QC testing (outside of Mission Pharmacal) or a minimum of one year experience as an Associate Scientist at Mission Pharmacal.

COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical instructions including methods of analysis documents, SOPs and certificate of analysis. The ability to provide documentation, data and results in the appropriate format as trained. Ability to proficiently communicate to management on the tasks undertaken and completed.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to apply mathematical concepts routinely used in the data analysis of test results, including concepts such as percentages, averages, standard deviations and basic statistics. Ability to follow mathematical formulas with variables and standard mathematical operations in the calculation of results in the testing methods. Ability to create spreadsheets for analytical data analysis as assigned so that the spreadsheet can be validated and used for testing.

CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
