Technical Capture Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Technical Capture Manager based in the United States.

This role leads business development and technical capture efforts for innovative technology solutions across the U.S. market.
You will identify high-value opportunities, understand evolving customer needs, and shape solutions that address complex challenges.
The position serves as a strategic bridge between technical teams, business stakeholders, clients, and partners.
You will lead sophisticated sales cycles, proposals, presentations, negotiations, and partnership discussions.
Success in this role will directly contribute to revenue growth, market expansion, and long-term customer relationships.

The ideal candidate combines deep technology expertise with strong commercial judgment, leadership, and communication skills.

Accountabilities:
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities by analyzing market trends, customer requirements, competitive activity, and emerging technology needs.
  • Develop and execute business development and capture strategies aligned with organizational objectives and available technology capabilities.
  • Partner closely with engineering, product management, and marketing teams to design customized technical solutions and compelling value propositions.
  • Lead complex proposal efforts, client presentations, negotiations, and partnership discussions to secure high-value contracts and strategic relationships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, internal stakeholders, and other key decision-makers.
  • Monitor business development KPIs, pipeline activity, and market performance, adapting strategies to achieve growth targets.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, persuasive messaging for both executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Use CRM and sales analytics tools to manage opportunities, strengthen pipeline visibility, and support data-driven decision-making.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 15+ years of experience in business development or sales within the technology sector, with a proven record of leading complex technical sales cycles and closing high-value opportunities.
  • Strong understanding of technology products and solutions, with the ability to connect technical capabilities to customer and business needs.
  • Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, including the capacity to assess market data, customer feedback, and competitive dynamics.
  • Preferred experience with software development, cloud computing, battle management, AI-enabled command-and-control (C2), and Man-Machine Interface (MMI) software development.
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms, sales analytics tools, and data-driven pipeline management.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certifications in business development or project management, such as PMP or CBAP, are a plus.
