This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr Global Events Marketing Specialist based in the United States.
This fully remote role leads the strategy, planning, and execution of high-impact marketing events across virtual and in-person experiences.
You will manage programs designed to strengthen customer relationships, generate qualified leads, and support adoption, retention, and growth.
The role spans user conferences, trade shows, employee events, special programs, and other strategic marketing initiatives.
You will own detailed event logistics, communications, budgets, vendors, contracts, measurement, and post-event analysis.
Working across Marketing, Sales, HR, Customer Experience, Finance, and external partners, you will turn business and customer needs into engaging event experiences.
The environment is fast-paced and collaborative, offering significant ownership and the opportunity to improve how events are planned, measured, and scaled globally.
This position is remote but requires travel to the main office in Salt Lake City and to domestic and occasional international events.
- Support the strategic development of marketing event programs that reinforce the brand, generate qualified leads, strengthen customer relationships, and support adoption, retention, and expansion.
- Lead the end-to-end execution of internal and external programs, including user conferences, employee events, trade shows, special events, and other marketing initiatives.
- Develop and coordinate event communication strategies, messaging, and segmentation plans to ensure audiences receive relevant and timely information.
- Manage detailed event logistics, including agendas, staffing, schedules, vendors, speakers, entertainers, contracts, and operational requirements.
- Build scalable event-management processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, engagement, consistency, and cost effectiveness.
- Develop and monitor event budgets, manage expenses, assist with contract negotiations, and help ensure programs remain financially aligned with objectives.
- Research, select, and manage vendors while evaluating relationships based on service quality, value, and cost effectiveness.
- Coordinate with internal and external teams to develop event agendas that reflect organizational strategy and customer needs.
- Communicate critical event information, timelines, responsibilities, and updates to relevant stakeholders across the organization.
- Establish event KPIs and contribute to regular reporting that demonstrates the value and efficiency of marketing events and sponsorship investments.
- Conduct post-event analysis, including lead-conversion reporting, performance measurement, and recommendations for future improvements.
- Ensure appropriate personnel are scheduled and prepared to support each event effectively.
- Research and coordinate contracts with speakers, entertainers, and other event contributors as required.
- Monitor market trends and industry best practices to recommend innovative approaches, refine existing programs, and develop new event initiatives.
- Identify and lead projects that improve event processes, reduce costs, increase operational efficiency, and strengthen audience engagement.
- Build effective working relationships across departments and with external partners to resolve issues and successfully deliver complex programs.
- Travel to trade shows, live events, the main office, and other locations as required, including occasional international travel.
- At least 1 year of experience in event marketing, field marketing, and/or project management.
- Experience marketing B2B high-tech products or solutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with Salesforce (SFDC) or similar CRM platforms.
- Strong project management capabilities, including defining scope, scheduling, tracking progress, communicating status, managing risks, contingency planning, and coordinating resources.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage complex logistics without losing sight of strategic objectives.
- Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet established deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with Marketing, Sales, HR, Customer Experience, Finance, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to influence outcomes and accomplish complex goals without relying on formal authority.
- Strong analytical and measurement skills, with a focus on results, optimization, ROI, and continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, including the ability to clearly convey event information and project status.
- Creative, resourceful, and adaptable approach to solving event and operational challenges.
- Positive attitude, resilience, and the ability to maintain team morale in high-pressure situations.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and occasionally internationally for events and business needs.
- Estimated base salary of $75,000–$90,000, with competitive compensation based on applicable factors.
